The origin of the Wrap Dress

The Wrap dress became popular in the 1970’s and was made famous by business women and fashion designer Diane von Furstenber.  The wrap dress’s popularity and its perceived feminists significance have remained current. “The wrap dress is the most traditional form of dressing: It’s like a robe, it’s like a kimono, it’s like a toga. It doesn’t have buttons or zippers. What made it different was that it was jersey; therefore, it was close to the body and it was a print.” But now wrap dresses are made from sorts for fabric and has played and essential part in our work wardrobe.
